Final Will and Testament of Henry Kipp

part as follows:
Henry Kipp Dec’d
In the Name of God Amen.
I Henry Kipp of Donegal Township in
the county of Lancaster and state of Pennsylvania ___ being old and
of bodily weakness though thanks to God of sound memory and understanding
having considered the mortality of men thought proper to make my last
will and testament in ___ following namely it is my will and I
order and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be duly
paid by my executors out of my Estate as soon as possible after my decease.
I give and bequeath unto my beloved
wife Anna Maria one bed and one cow and of my household and kitchen
furniture as much as she may have need for her use and also the kitchen
closet and the stove.
Item I
direct that my said wife shall have her dwelling on the place where
I now live on in which house she may choose and that my son George Kipp
and my son in law Frederick Hipple shall give and deliver unto yearly
the one half of all those things which they are obligated to give and
deliver by an obligatory writing during the term of her natural life.
Item That 200 pounds
of money out of my estate shall be kept in interest
during the natural life of my said wife and I give and bequeath the
interest thereof unto my said wife and
that shall be paid to her yearly for during the term of her natural
life.
Item I give and bequeath unto my
son George Kipp first and foremost one hundred pounds. And the
remainder of my estate which may arise from the sale personal estate
it may consist of whatsoever it will and not by me here
into before bequeath and including the monies which come from the sale
of my lands and also including all those sums which I have given to
my children in my lifetime and are charged in a book by me
kept for that purpose and likewise the four hundred pounds which
I have allowed unto my son George Kipp on his share from the purchase
money for the land which I have sold to him and for which I have given
him a Deed of Conveyance and also the four hundred pounds which I have
allowed to my son in law Frederick Hipple on his share from the purchase
money for the land which I have sold to him and for which I have given
him a Deed of Conveyance shall all be added together by executors and
I order and direct that the same by my executors shall be divided into
four equal shares and I give and bequeath the same unto my four children
George Kipp, Magdalena, now intermarried to Frederich Hipple, to Gertrude
now intermarried to John Hetz, is to say to each of these
an equal fourth part thereof nevertheless that an equal sum as
that which my daughter Gertrude now shall receive after her
shall be paid to her children out of her said husbands estate. And I
order and direct that the remainder of the
other fourth from the inheritance of my daughter Catharine Blaser which
shall be over and above the money that I have paid for
the land which I have brought for her and whereon she now does live
___ in Manheim Township in the County of York containing sixty acres
more or less shall remain in the hands of my executors and the interest
thereof shall be paid unto my said daughter Catharine Blaser yearly
or if that should not be sufficient for her
maintenance they shall give her from the principal sum
yearly and every year during the term of her natural
life and the remainder (if any) after her death shall be paid to her
children and I give and bequeath the said recited tract of land unto
my said daughter Catharine Blaser to have and to hold and enjoy the
same to her and her children forever. And in like manner shall
it be done with the estate which shall be left after the death of my
said wife namely to each of my four children one fourth part or share
thereof and I order and direct further that if my
son in law Peter Blaser should make any demand against
my estate for the time that my ___ wife were with him the
___ shall be deducted from the share of my daughter Catherine and I
order further that after distribution made my executors shall pay the
??? to my herein before mentioned four children as the
same shall come to ___ lands although that they shall give first
to them which have received least amount as to equal
them with those who have received more. And lastly
I nominate and appoint my trusty friends Christopher Weaver and
Joseph Shenke to be executors of this my last will and testament making
hereby null and void all other wills and testaments by me at any time
heretofore made declaiming this and no other to by my last will and
testament. In witness whereof I have hereunder set my
hand and seal the eighteenth day of April one thousand and eight hundred
and seven. Signed sealed published and declared by the testor as his
last will and testament in presence of George P Freyer, John Good.
